We’re excited to offer Radial Shockwave Therapy (RSWT) at Melville Wellness Centre with both our Physiotherapists and Podiatrists – a non-invasive, evidence-based treatment designed to help you recover from persistent pain and chronic injuries, without the need for injections, medication, or surgery.

What Is Radial Shockwave Therapy?

Radial Shockwave Therapy uses high-energy acoustic waves (not electrical shocks!) to stimulate your body’s natural healing processes. These sound waves are delivered through the skin to the affected tissues, where they help:

• Improve blood circulation

• Stimulate collagen production

• Break down scar tissue and calcifications

• Reduce pain by desensitising nerve endings

• Accelerate the body’s repair mechanisms

This therapy is especially useful for stubborn, slow-healing conditions, particularly in tendons, muscles, and joints.

Most treatment plans involve 3 to 6 sessions, depending on the condition and your individual response. Price per treatment session ranges from $130 to $160 and can be claimed through your private health fund (if applicable).
